RILANÉA was born from a deeply personal time in Ronya’s life. Coming from a Persian background, she always took her thick beautiful hair for granted until she gave birth to her son. A time first marked by postpartum hair loss and the helplessness that came with it where the clumps of hair was falling out in the shower or when brushing her hair. In her search for answers, she always noticed that her hair felt healthier when she lived in Sweden, so she began researching online and discovered the powerful science behind ice scalp therapy, a method used in cold capping to preserve hair during cancer treatments to reduce hairloss. With that inspiration in mind and to honour the passing of her friend from cancer, she wanted to create a haircare brand that supports cancer fighters through our Strands of Strength Initiative. The drive to support our cancer community grew even stronger when she experienced her own cancer scare and spent time with cancer patients during hospital stays. 

That moment sparked a mission: to transform this innovation into something beautiful, comforting, and accessible.
